About Us

Bada Akhada Residency is a devotional stay facility operating under the guidance and discipline of All India Sri Pancharamananda Digambar Baithak Bada Akhada Math, Puri—one of the most ancient and respected institutions of the Ramanandi Sampradaya.

Founded in the 14th century by Sri Balanandaji Maharaj and institutionally shaped by Sri Gopal Das Ji Maharaj, the Math has stood as a center of spiritual training, protection, and preservation of Jagannath culture for more than 600 years.

The lodge exists to serve pilgrims, saints, devotees, and visitors who honor the principles of Sanatana Dharma and the Vaishnava ethos. It is a spiritually regulated environment that maintains the purity, discipline, and cultural dignity of the Math.

We follow the core values of:

Seva (Service)

Shakti (Strength)

Bhakti (Devotion)

The lodge reflects the same discipline as the Math, where daily worship is offered to Sri Radhakrishna, Balaji, Hanumanji Maharaj, Laddu Gopal, Ram Lalla, and Saligram with uninterrupted chanting of the Mahamantra.

Under the leadership of Sri Harinarayan Das Maharaj (coronated 2015), the institution continues to safeguard its traditions and spiritual discipline.
